Cable Bag - free pattern for you!

Some time ago I got an idea of this bag. First it seemed unusual for me as I've never knitted a bag before. Knitting was more a garment-creating activity to me. But the idea of this bag won't leave me alone. I even dreamed of it once (no kidding!). It took a lot of planning, sketching and charting to make it look the way it is, but, you know, it was worth it. I love it! It's just the right size - big enough for all my necessities (even a knitting project feels comfortable inside this bag) but not too big to hide myself behind it :-)

I like it so much that I decided to share this pattern with you. It's free! You are welcome to use it in your non-commercial projects. The pattern is here: http://www.knitca.com/patterns/cable_bag.

Happy knitting!

  1. That is so pretty. I really like it a lot. I'm still learning to knit. I've been crochet like a mad woman for a couple years and finally took a knitting class. So far I love knitting...just need to keep practicing before I can do something like this purse. Can't wait till I can though! It's gorgeous!!!

  2. Thanks for the comment. I am really glad you like the bag. Actually, it's not that hard to knit once you are a bit acquainted with cables in general. Happy knitting!
