I found this stitch pattern in an old knitting book. The black-and-white picture (the book is really old :-)) looked interesting so I grabbed yarn and needles and made a swatch. Here are pictures of right and wrong sides of the swatch.
The knitted fabric feels good and it is almost reversible (I say "almost" because it looks ok on the wrong side but not good enough to use wrong side as right). Another nice property of this pattern - it doesn't curl. It will definitely make a nice wrap scarf - something soft and cozy to snug into :-)
