How about knitting a lamp?

Another designer that knits furniture is Claire-Ann O'Brien. She mostly creates stools. Just look at them - true work of art they are, every one of them.

This kind of decor will definitely "wow" your guests. I can't imagine how these things should be cleaned but that's another issue :-)
