Grafting ribbing is always a challenge.
When I was working on Chain Cowl I wanted every link to look seamless but I didn't want to stress everyone by actually grafting every one of the 10 links in the cowl. So I came up with a simpler grafting-looking technique I call semi-grafting.
It is easier than grafting because there is only one set of open stitches to graft. The piece looks seamless on the right side. The wrong side is not so perfect but that what makes it "wrong side", right? :-)
