Easy to knit stitch pattern for winter knits

Winter holidays are getting closer. The closer they get the faster we should knit to make everyone on our gift list happy by the time Santa gets on his sleigh.

Here's an easy to knit stitch pattern that is perfect for quick winter knits. With this pattern you'll whip up a hat in just a couple of hours. It is also good for scarves and cowls (here are some tips on how to make a cowl)

Right side of the pattern

Wrong side of the pattern (and it's not wrong at all :-)
Instructions:
Cast on an even number of stitches. Add 2 selvage stitches if you want to make a nice-looking edge.
