Celebrating Canada Day in the capital of Canada is very special. We learned it first-hand this weekend. Red and white colors were everywhere in all possible patterns (I haven't seen any knitted items though - something to work on, Canadian knitters :-))Ottawa downtown is beautiful. Historical buildings merge seamlessly in modern landscape creating a sense of a fairy tale. Loved, loved, loved it.
And, yes, we almost saw Kate and William. I say "almost" because the crowd was so big we didn't risk to go in there with two kids. We were quite satisfied with the full view from the big screen :-)
It was definitely a day to remember.
